What the job is like
• Pay: $34.00 per hour
• Schedule: Per diem; minimum of 2 shifts per week or as needed
• Shifts: 10 Hour Day Shifts (To Include weekends and holidays)
• Location: Sylmar, CA
• Duration: 26 Weeks Initially

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
Licenses and Certifications:
• Active Surgical Technician Certification
• AHA BLS
• MAB or CPI
• LA City Fire & Life Safety Card (LA City Fire)
Experience:
• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Surgical Technician in an acute care hospital
• Experience assisting surgeons with preparation and maintenance of sterile fields
• Familiarity with surgical instruments, supplies, and OR protocols
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
• Maintain counts of sponges, needles, and instruments
• Handle retractors, suctioning, wound exposure, specimen management, and cutting sutures
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Provide hands-on assistance throughout surgical procedures
• Work per diem assignments with commitment to scheduled shifts
