Required Experience
Minimum of 6 months of Critical Care nursing experience in level 1 trauma center
Required Certification
Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university
BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
ACLS - (American Heart Association)Â
PALS - (American Heart Association)Â
NIHSS-(American Heart Association)
MAB or CPI Certification
LA County fire and Life Safety CardÂ
CA Registered Nurse licenseÂ
Responsibilities·Â
Provide comprehensive, advanced nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and intervention.
Manage complex patient conditions like multi-system organ failure, severe trauma, post-surgical complications, and life-threatening medical emergencies.
Rapidly assess and continuously monitor unstable patients, detecting subtle changes and intervening appropriately.
Administer specialized medications and treatments, and meticulously operate/maintain advanced life-support and monitoring equipment (e.g., ventilators, IV pumps, cardiac monitors).
Actively participate in medical emergencies and 'Code Blue' situations, leading nursing interventions as appropriate.
Collaborate closely with intensivists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and adjust individualized patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on complex medical conditions, treatment plans, and prognoses, providing compassionate support.
Document all aspects of patient care thoroughly and accurately, ensuring compliance with critical care standards.
