Job Details:
  • Pay: $35.00 per hour ($1,470.00 gross weekly pay)
  • Schedule: Monday - Sunday (excluding Saturdays)
  • Shifts:  NOC 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Duration: 3 months (High possibility of extension)
  • Location: Panorama City, CA

Required Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
License and Certification:
  • California Paramedic Certificate OR California EMT Certificate 
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association 
  • LA County Fire Card Required
  • Current violence prevention or de-escalation training (MAB, AVADE, CPI) 
Experience:
  •  Minimum 2-3 years  experience in hospital acute care,  or in an Emergency Department as an EMT or paramedic.
  • Experience with Patient transport, 12-lead EKGs, Splinting and experience assisting with procedures and intubations
  • Familiarity with orthopedic devices
  • Strong BLS skills
  • EMT/Paramedic experience in an Acute setting (Hospital) knowing how to set up trays and do waive testing. 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform waived testing (blood glucose, urine dip, pregnancy tests)
  • Conduct vision checks using Snellen charts
  • Assist physicians with tissue specimen and biopsy collection
  • Restrain and support patients during procedures
  • Select and pass instruments
  • Deliver and serve patient meals
  • Record patient information and manage appointments
  • Direct patients to appropriate departments
  • Question patients about medical conditions and symptoms
  • Perform initial patient condition assessments
  • Complete maintenance, laboratory, x-ray, diagnostic, and referral forms
  • Transport patients and laboratory specimens
  • Stock and restock treatment and procedure rooms
  • Answer phone calls and take messages
  • Perform EKGs and other assigned tasks
