Job Details:
Pay: $35.00 per hour ($1,470.00 gross weekly pay)
Schedule: Monday - Sunday (excluding Saturdays)
Shifts: NOC 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Duration: 3 months (High possibility of extension)

Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
License and Certification:
California Paramedic Certificate OR California EMT Certificate
BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association
LA County Fire Card Required
Current violence prevention or de-escalation training (MAB, AVADE, CPI)
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years experience in hospital acute care, or in an Emergency Department as an EMT or paramedic.
Experience with Patient transport, 12-lead EKGs, Splinting and experience assisting with procedures and intubations
Familiarity with orthopedic devices
Strong BLS skills
EMT/Paramedic experience in an Acute setting (Hospital) knowing how to set up trays and do waive testing.
Assist physicians with tissue specimen and biopsy collection
Restrain and support patients during procedures
Select and pass instruments
Deliver and serve patient meals
Record patient information and manage appointments
Direct patients to appropriate departments
Question patients about medical conditions and symptoms
Perform initial patient condition assessments
Complete maintenance, laboratory, x-ray, diagnostic, and referral forms
Transport patients and laboratory specimens
Stock and restock treatment and procedure rooms
Answer phone calls and take messages
Perform EKGs and other assigned tasks
