Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years in healthcare or customer service
Experience with scheduling and insurance processes
Basic PC skills (Windows, Excel, Word)
EPIC experience highly preferred
A Day in the Life
Welcome patients, visitors, and guests upon arrival and provide a warm, positive first impression.
Assist individuals with wayfinding by giving clear directions or walking them to their destination as needed.
Provide general support at main entrances, ensuring patients understand check-in processes, visitor policies, and building navigation.
Offer non-clinical assistance such as MyHealth registration support, information on hospital services, parking guidance, and transportation resources.
Serve as a friendly, accessible point of contact for questions, concerns, or basic assistance throughout the facility.
Help patients and families access available resources such as hotel/lodging information, local restaurants, and community services.
Communicate patient or visitor concerns to the appropriate hospital departments when necessary.
Maintain a calm, supportive presence for patients and families, offering reassurance, comfort, and respectful assistance during their visit.
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all individuals entering the facility.
Support hospital staff by managing foot traffic, maintaining an organized entrance area, and assisting with operational flow as needed.
