Pay:Â $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Shift Days: Monday through Friday; potential for weekendsÂ
Shift time: NOC shift (10:30pm - 7:00am)Â

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 6 months of janitorial experience in a hospital and/or skilled nursing facility OR
Minimum 6 months of Operating Room Assistant experienceÂ
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-standard environmentÂ
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and hygiene
Minimum of 6 months experience of infection prevention standards and terminal cleaning procedures in the Operating RoomÂ
Preferred
Operating Room experience (highly preferred)Â
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a housekeeping supervisor, the person in this position must be able to perform all housekeeping assistant functions and other related duties as assigned.Â
Perform terminal cleaning of Operating Rooms following surgical procedures, adhering strictly to the infection control protocols and hospital standards.Â
Assist with OR turnover cleaning between cases, including removal of waste, wiping down of surfaces, mopping floors, and restocking necessary supplies to ensure minimal downtime.Â
Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials and sharps in compliance with safety regulations and facility guidelines.Â
Disinfect high-touch surfaces, surgical lights, booms, anesthesia carts, and other OR equipment as part of routine and terminal cleaning duties.Â
Support OR staff by maintaining environmental readiness, ensuring each room is clean, organized, and stocked with basic non-sterile vacuums.Â
Communicate effectively with nursing and surgical staff to coordinate room availability and meet the fast-paced demands of the OR schedule.Â
Conduct regular inspections of OR areas to ensure cleanliness and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.Â
Follow strict hand hygiene and PPE protocols at all times to minimize the risk of infection and cross-contamination in surgical settings.Â
