At our Juvenile Center, you’ll be more than just a therapist—you’ll be a trusted guide and mentor. Use your skills to help adolescents and young adults navigate trauma, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics. This role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the community while utilizing your clinical expertise.
Position Details
Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour (based on experience)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for long-term placement
Location: San Leandro, CA
Why You’ll Love This Role:
As an LMFT, you’ll start each day by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess the mental health needs of adolescents and young adults. From one-on-one and group therapy sessions to crisis interventions and developing individualized treatment plans, your work will be critical in stabilizing clients in distress and guiding them on their path to recovery. You’ll also partner with probation officers, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care, making each day a step toward a brighter future for your clients.

What We’re Looking For:
Licensure: CA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
Experience: Minimum 6 months of behavioral health experience or 6 months of clinical/case management experience
Education: Master’s Degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, counseling, nursing, or related field
Skills: Proficiency in electronic charting and effective communication
Additional Requirement: Valid and current CA Motor Vehicle Operator’s license
