About the Job
  • Contract  Start 09/22
  • Shift Days: Monday - Friday 
  • Shift Time: Variable  Start times between -6am-5PM
  • Pay- $35.00/hr-$40.00/HR 
  • Duration: 8-13 weeks 
  • Unit: Occupational Health/Fall Vaccine project
  • Location: Palo Alto

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Diploma/Certification from an accredited institution
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
Experience: 
  • Vaccination experience
  • Front and Back office experience 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Medical Assistant experience
  • EPIC experience required
Skillset and Abilities
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and apply medical terminology in performing duties
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
  • Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job
  • Strong ability to multi-task and collaborate with others
Responsibilities
  • Answer patient questions regarding process, test types, or other concerns
  • Help other staff with additional tasks as required
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents
  • Setting up and preparing the test kits/vaccine
  • Participate in training continuing education programs to keep up to date with all current medical procedures and guidelines
  • Record and report using EPIC 
  • Help assist with vaccinations if the site/location provides this service
  • Other duties as assigned
