Job Details
  • Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour! 
  • Shift Schedule: Full Time Schedule; 8 hours; Monday - Friday
  • Shift Times: 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • Duration: 4-5-months initially; potential to convert

Required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (DOE)
  • Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computer systems (EPIC)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Proactive, professional, and adaptable work style 
  • Consistent attendance, punctuality and reliability 
  • Strong back office experience 
Preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Pediatric experience (highly preferred)

Key Skills & Abilities
  • Taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, and administering vaccinations. 
  • Strong understanding of common terms used in pediatrics and general healthcare. 
  • Administering injections and vaccines safely and accurately under provider supervision. 
  • Clear, empathetic interactions with patients, parents, and team members. 
  • Supporting physicians and nursing to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care. 
  • Accurate charting, EPIC use, and patient data entry. 

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, heigh, weight, and medical history.
  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits and procedures. 
  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient exams, minor procedures, and vaccinations. 
  • Administer mediations and vaccines as directed, following established safety protocols. 
  • Perform basic waived testing (ie: urine dipstick, glucose, pregnancy test) and collect lab specimens. 
  • Accurately record patient data and updates in EPIC. 
  • Support front office functions as needed, including scheduling, check-in, and communication with families. 
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam and work areas. 
  • Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and a proactive approach to patient care.
