Shift Days: Mon-Fri
Shift Times: 8 hour day shifts.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved diploma school /institution or equivalent documented training required
BLS - Basic Life Support required (AHA)
Medical Assistant externship should be completed
Responsibilities
Support providers and patients as part of the healthcare team.
Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies.
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, injections, and immunizations.
Perform basic clinical tests, EKGs, and specimen collection as required.
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and patient information.
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and radiology services.
Verify patient demographics, insurance, and required authorizations.
Handle patient check-in/check-out, payments, and prescription refill requests.
Document patient information and communications accurately in the EMR/EHR.
Respond to patient questions and provide timely customer service.
Communicate patient concerns and messages to providers or clinical staff.
Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas.
Coordinate patient care and assist with follow-ups as needed.
