Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible and directly service-related work experience.
Associate's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Experience in environmental services, auditing, quality control, or safety roles
Demonstrated ability to consistently follow and enforce checklists and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and recommendations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software (e.g., One Point Lessons).
Licenses and Certifications:

Job Summary:
The OR Environmental Compliance and Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant environment within the Operating Rooms. This position is responsible for conducting routine inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards. This role acts as a key liaison between the OR team and leadership, contributing to a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and audits of OR environments, including adherence to the "ever ready checklist" (fire doors, unit cleanliness, etc.), and room cleaning procedures.
Perform routine environmental monitoring and surveying of designated hospital buildings.
Complete necessary paperwork, data entry, and other administrative tasks related to compliance and inspections.
Act as a liaison between the OR team and leadership, communicating observations and recommendations.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and environmental monitoring activities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and hospital policies.
Identify potential environmental hazards and report them to the appropriate personnel.
Understand and adhere to the team's role in responding to code blues and providing patient compressions.
Key Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Windows based software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate in oral and written presentations.
