$80.00-$85.00 per hour
Duration: 13 week Contract Initially
Shift Days: Monday - Friday
Shift Time: 8:30-5:00pm
Location: Will float to various ambulatory clinics Palo Alto, Mountain View, San Jose and San Francisco

Required
Education:
Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing
License and Certifications:
California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of Nursing experience with at least 1 year of Pediatric experience
Ambulatory Nursing experience
Experience with Triage, prior authorizations
Preferred:
EPIC in-basket experience
PALS Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
Supporting Triage: Answer and assess incoming urgent calls, either through our epic system or by answering the nurse line
Conduct initial patient assessments, gathering medical history and vital signs
Assist with clinical documentation and administrative needs
Nurse coordination; Review of labs; Family education; Follow up/post calls
Obtains accurate and relevant assessment data and interprets the data as normal vs abnormal. Determines nursing diagnosis. Monitors and evaluates data as frequently as needed based on stability.
Collaborates with the patient, family and members of health care team to develop an individualized plan of care. Implements nursing and medical interventions safely. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and monitors patient for adverse responses and side effects.
Assesses a patient's and family's learning needs and readiness to learn. Teaches needed information for self-care and illness prevention. Adjusts information and expectations based on responses from patient, developmental levels, physiological and psychological condition, and cultural variations.
