Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift Options: 8:00 AM – 4:40 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Telephone triage and in-basket management experience strongly preferred
EPIC experience required
Experience working within specialty clinics is a plus
Responsibilities: As a Registered Nurse, you will serve as a primary liaison between patients, families, and providers while supporting a busy outpatient multi-specialty clinic.
Key responsibilities include:
Triage incoming patient phone calls and EPIC in-basket messages, assessing patient needs and ensuring timely follow-up
Coordinate patient care and collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Process prescription refill requests according to established protocols
Review and manage Durable Medical Equipment (DME) orders and authorizations
Assist with insurance prior authorizations and peer-to-peer review processes as needed
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and procedures
Support gastrostomy tube (G-tube) management and nasogastric (NG) tube care coordination
Review and educate patients regarding procedure preparation instructions, including colonoscopy prep
Monitor patient conditions and communicate concerns, changes, and treatment responses to providers
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within EPIC
Assist providers with in-basket management, chart review, and follow-up coordination
Administer medications, vaccines, and therapeutic injections in accordance with established policies
Participate in quality initiatives, patient advocacy, and care coordination efforts
Deliver compassionate, family-centered care while maintaining a high standard of customer service
