MINMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (Medical warehouse/Mail courier)
Current driver's license with good driving record
Job Duties:
Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance, determines the most economical and efficient shipping method,
selects the appropriate shipping container, and packs items to ensure safe delivery.
Maintains accurate vehicle and activity log to include records of delivery activity, vehicle mileage and fuel consumption, and
other data as required.
Performs daily safety check, including fluid levels, notifies supervisor or lead of conditions requiring attention.
Operates departmental vehicles between the hospital and designated off-site locations.
Maintains equipment and activity logs to include records of delivery activity, vehicle mileage, and other dispatch information.
Maintains storeroom and other assigned areas in a clean and orderly manner.
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
Performs other related and incidental duties as needed or assigned.
