&#9;<li><strong>Duration:</strong> 2â3 Months (Potential Extension)

<strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong>

<strong>Education:</strong>

<ul>

&#9;<br>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required<br> 
&#9;

<strong>Licenses & Certifications:</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Active California RN License required
&#9;<li>BLS from the American Heart Association required
</ul>

<strong>Experience:</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Minimum 2 years of RN&nbsp;experience required
&#9;<li>Pediatric experience with Multi-specialty or Dermatology experience will be a plus
&#9;<li>Outpatient clinical experience preferred
&#9;<li>Telephone triage and in-basket management experience strongly preferred
&#9;<li>EPIC experience required
&#9;<li>Experience working within specialty clinics is a plus
</ul>

<strong>Responsibilities:</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Independently, provides general education and nursing care to patients via telephone or in&nbsp; person. Responds to and resolves patient/family questions and needs.
&#9;<li>Triages and schedules patients as appropriate, ensuring appointment preferences are given to&nbsp; patients in emergency situations.
&#9;<li>Documents clinical information, including patient phone calls and maintains accurate and&nbsp;complete patient documentation according to medical profession standards. Accurately&nbsp; documents all patient encounter, phone triage, test results and office visits.
&#9;<li>Observes and/or records and reports patientâs condition and reaction to drugs and treatments&nbsp; to clinicians.
&#9;<li>Acts as a liaison, coordinates, and integrates service for patients by continually collaborating&nbsp; with physician(s).
&#9;<li>Communicates the appropriate referral choice to community physician(s).
&#9;<li>Coordinates and integrates services within the clinic by continually collaborating with&nbsp; physician(s).
&#9;<li>Develops Facilitative relationships with office staff regarding both patient appointment&nbsp;scheduling and clinical information.
&#9;<li>Performs peerto peer review and obtains insurance prior authorization as needed.
&#9;<li>Processes requests for prescription refills according to established practice.
&#9;<li>Mentors new staff to ensure proper clinical training and processes is followed.
&#9;<li>Maintains patient confidentiality.
&#9;<li>Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines.
&#9;<li>Assists in preparing forms and managing prior authorizations throughout the shift, completing&nbsp;incoming work by the end of the shift.
&#9;<li>Epic environment: Assists providers with their in-baskets and open charts; monitors other MD&nbsp;and RN in-baskets when assigned.
&#9;<li>Other duties as assigned based on location and Specialty assigned. Works on special projects as needed.
</ul>

<strong>Back Office Duties:</strong>

<ul>
&#9;<li>Prepares the necessary equipment and supplies for exam. Maintains inventory of supplies in&nbsp;examination rooms,replenishes as required. Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and&nbsp;
&#9;<li>materials. Ensures cleanliness.
&#9;<li>Prepares patient for examination or treatment and performs routine screening tests. Explains&nbsp;treatment procedures to patients. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
&#9;<li>Reports patientâs concerns and symptoms, reactions, changes (appropriate to age) to the&nbsp;physician.
&#9;<li>Assists physicians with procedure set-ups, patient procedures, and examinations.
&#9;<li>Collects and sends specimens to appropriate labs fortesting per protocol.
&#9;<li>Administers ordered medications, allergy injections, vaccines and other therapeutic injections&nbsp;in a safe, accurate, professional, and timely manner following policies and procedures.
&#9;<li>Performs routine screenings, places orders and tracks data for patients according to&nbsp;standardized quality measures in a timely, accurate and efficient manner according to policiesand procedure.
